Interesting and very important discussion guys!
I love Joe's ground breaking thoughts about experiences but I'm not sure about the 5th E.. And yeas there is a national survival strategy excisting: Tourisim and Experince Cluster Program, working closely with Pine and Gilmore as well as European Center for the Experienece Economy. (financed by ministery of Employment and Economy, coordinated by us LEO)

We have a set of tools and services helping companies to create better experiences. See for instance Experience Pyramid

Kaixo Javier,

thanks a lot for the comment and insights into the Da Vinci Code. I guess one his skills are also to take a topic that touches almost everybody. Could you tell me more about the educational part (or the lack there of) the book?

Loads of yellow, and merry Christmas!

I read The Da Vinci code. It keep your attention. Fun (more or less). But poor literature. Tipical bestseller american product. Many other writters much more interesting from the literature point of view. I wouldn't recomment Dan Brown to read at Christmas time. In addition, I would question the educational dimension of his romances. Again the american factory catching the sensationalism of the historic places. On the other side, wonderful marketing internationally.
